no it's in VIC last I heard, the guy contacted me out of the blue for it & I heard nothing since the thanks email about how good it was about a year later..... :think:

I remember that thumper. The question of who was first has always been ambiguous. Plated stills have been around since Moses was a boy. Nearly. But the Olddog seemed to strike an achievable idea at the right time. Kinda snowballed from there. Next thing ya know the arsekissin yanks had him savin babys and inventing cancer cures. Whatever. I have read flutetalk once or twice and am the better for it.

Now use 50l Keg with Pot head for Rum and Neutral stripping runs on gas .
LM/VM head with 1m packed 2" on Still Spirits boiler for Neutrals.

That rig there was the one that caught fire and burnt the insulation off the shed roof :oops: the RC leaked more than it held so I cut the bastard thing up on a drop saw :))

I even drove the 90km round trip to town to buy the drop saw just for the job :O)

Yep thats the one that I roughly modeled mine on, its getting kind of old school to look at these days. but i still like it and wont change it.

Interesting drinking habits in your area, Scotch, Bourbon, tequila, vodka etc but no bundy at all.

I think that in my area the bundaberg bottles would outnumber everything else.
