Fixed the shearing shed this morning then decided had enough time to get the second run of CFW done, once it got up to temp that friggin triclamp fitting at the top of the RC started leaking again :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: so it does look like the flange on the pc has let go and that was hard soldered too :handgestures-thumbdown: . Anyway put some feints in this run and pulled 4 litres of 90% so looks like that 5 litre beaker is gunna get filled :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

One more run to go then about 15 litres of CFW on oak all ready for xmas next year.

No idea mate this is my first ever. It's been down for well over 3 weeks. I don't have it under a airlock so not sure on the bubbling part but I cant hear anything and it's reading near on 1000 and tastes dry so I'm just gonna give it a crack. The crap is still floating but doesn't look like dropping so ive just worked around it, probably will need to skim it off the top to get the next lot out of the fermenter clean. It's not puking if that counts for something, usually unfermented washes puke pretty bad eg rum. At a guess 12 weeks should be long enough but can't say for sure.

Gen4 NGW through Nessie and thumper. Good consistent run and tails carried through some peate smoke from the AG mash leftovers we threw in with the ferment. Looking forward to tasting after the jars air for a couple of days so we can cut the wheat (or barley) from the chaff. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I put down two rum washes just over 4 weeks ago then went away on holidays for th least 2 weeks. I usually run these washes after 2 weeks and get around 92%. Ran a wash Yesterday at 95%. Today's wash is running at 96%. Reckon I might leave my washes longer in the future

Just stripped 25L cfw with the old detuned super reflux. For a hard and fast strip run this was suprisingly pleasant off the still. Hopefully got my 2nd gen going now and will stripped again after nightshift. Hopefully by then my end cap will be here for the keg

I tried Mtn Moonshiner’s Bourbon recipe but failed to get conversion, ran anyway for about 1.5 litres of mainly tails. Added sugar & backset to the lees & running the second gen of that. Just about to collect fores.

My main food wholesaler gave me a few drums of Bunderberg Molasses they couldn't sell, I will see how it tastes later on, it seems much "ranker" of the still the feed grade. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
