LOL you bugger, it went to $32.00 I was going to go to $101.00, it looks pretty heavy duty. If you want some couplings made give me a bit of 50mm copper pipe and I'll stretch them for you. I want it to attach stainless ferrules to copper columns.

Found it hard to get motivated today but managed to build myself a new parrot, made the cup out of a bit of 1" pipe by annealing it and hammering one end in until the 3/8 pipe snugly fit...... turned out pretty nice :)

Putting dual battery system in the boat today.

The bloody great 120 wide Raymarine sounder draws a thousand watts. Don't wanna be stuck out there 8-)

It's about the flashest 14' boat around

Stripped my first UJSM last night and got the second generation wash bubbling away this morning. The stripping run started off at about 50% abv and hung between that and 40% for quite a while I ended it at 20%.....I ended up with about 6L of stripped wash at about 30%. Im used to getting a higher ABV and bigger quantity from my Birdwatchers strips....Is what I got considered normal from a 40L charge of UJSM wash??

Seems a little low on volume taken, but not by much really.

From a 50L charge I usually end up with roughly 9L of low wines at about 40%

You could add an extra kilo of sugar if you want to get a bit more on your next strip run ;)

Thanks for that Mc.....I thought it seemed a bit low......when Im stripping a Birdwatchers it usually starts out at around 65-60% abv.....as soon as I saw the UJSM coming off at no higher than 50% i thought something was up. Bit late to add extra sugar as the fermenters are pretty full already

Either not enough sugar to start or it hadn't finnished fermenting.

Should get a litre per kilo and start around 65-68%

I use 11kg in about 55-60l of wash and get 11-12 litres of strip tween 65 and 20%

I save back 5-10l of wash to add to the strip for extra flavour.

Picked up the 200litres of mollasses this arvo. Made up 250litres of mollasses wash, mollasses everywhere, nice & stinky & smelly, had to drain into fermentors on the driveway (too heavy to lift off the back of the ute). Then water blast the driveway to get rid of the over pour of mollasses, didnt waste much. Now have approx 430litres fermenting wash, under the house :D :D . 180litres of TPW & 250litres of mollasses wash. Getting the floors polished monday week, so need to move out for three weeks. will pop in every second day to feed the chickens & check the wash's.
Shit yeah, when we move back in, happy days, hi hoe, hi hoe, its a shitload of distilling I go. All the missus wanted down before she pops out the babies, is to get the floors done. Sorted.
So much wash, soo little time.

Its lucky I dont mind the odd quiet one, or it would all go off. I got caught out the other week, I had 5 days off & no wash ready, that wont happen again.
Spud, dont tell anyone where I live or I could come back home & find that I have no wash left or better still, some has run it through my still for me amd left it sitting it on oak.
