Good to see more people getting into AG
I'm just about to retire my BIAB rig myself and move upto 3V
and I've already got my HERMS upgrade on the go...

I was always a 3V brewer but when I saw BIAB I was gobsmacked by the simplicity. So much so that I bought a Braumeister which I think is only a glorified BIAb system.

My point being,,,,,,,you made beer.. it'll taste great 8-}

CRAP,
Thought I'd best check the rum's gravity before I transferred it into the boiler
It's conked out at 1.080
Best guess is PH is too low, so I've chucked a few tablespoons of bicarb in (I know it's not the best thing to use) to bring it up and hopefully she'll finish by sunday

Rum always reads high sp0rk due to the amount of unfermentables in molasses, the drop is the same but it will never get to tpw sg

Yeah, the last few batches had been dropping to 1.050 so I figured it should have a little way to go yet
But we'll see if it drops any more by tomorrow, if not I might just do a run then

Long run tonight.
Three types of gin, 92% white dog and rose vodka.... started at 4pm and it's now 11.30.

Have to get a smaller boiler.... 80 ltrs of 40% runs slow, --- is tooooooo long.
8-} 8-} 8-}
I like the quick distilling runs.
:violin: :violin:

Mind you... the rose vodka is a ripper. :D :D

Mulberry Schnapps tonight :D

Only had 25L so topped up with wheat vodka.
4 plates should have plenty of flavour... Deep red wash that I would liken to red wine, just needs some oak, but it's all in the cooker now 8-}

Just finished stripping my 200ltrs of TPW and ended up with 40-45ltr of 48% low wines that smell like tomato :laughing-rolling: each run was about 2 hrs including emptying and refilling so that wasn't too bad. I ended up wrapping the still up to help speed things up and it did really help.

See how i feel, i might even run some through the bubbler tonight yet. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
