First run through my 5 star 4" pot still (while I wait for the bubbler to arrive)
Just chucked about 30L of beer that was bad in and a few litres of average vodka I had laying around.
Wasn't going to drink the product. Just wanted to test run the rig and get used to it before I put 50L of Macwhisky through it next week :)

Cheers Muppet. Thanks for the drinks and oak. Was good to pick your brains on a few things :text-thankyoublue:
All done now. went smoothly. Took just under 5 hours to finish. It got a bit cloudy towards the end. Is that normal? I wasn't too concerned knowing it will go through again.
Will have the second run ready for boxing day, then spirit run the lot.

That cloudy shit is just deep into the tails right, got a wet dog kind of smell ? if so that's perfectly normal :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Yeah mate cloudy is normal. I used to run real low for low wines runs to pull some funky cloudy stuff through :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Edit: Same time as mac

Cloudy is good (at the end of the run) mate, there's plenty of good flavour in the tails that you want in your spirit run :handgestures-thumbupleft:

It was probably the last 3L that went cloudy. All before was crystal clear.
Do you still get the cloudiness in a spirit run?

Only deep into the tails... You'll be collecting your spirit run in 200-300ml jars though :handgestures-thumbupleft:
