Did you temp correct the readings?

Could be the difference is that the ambient temp was warmer when you first measured it till now ;)

The temp was around the same when I first measured initial abv, but I did open air the demis for a good while at the start so I'm guessing its just the angels share..

Had a big day yesti. Redid the pump wiring at the back of the boat with new, non corroded busbars. Ran a batch of ujsm strip. Made a coil with coldfinger for a local bloke who's bought a 2" VM from me. Rewired the back of the freezer to extend the cables and refitted the lid for my new kegerator. Made a dozen jars of Lime and Cumquat Marmalade.

In the shed yesterday - stripped 45L of TPW then ran it through my VM with a couple of bottles of feints from my last run. For a 2" (shutup McStill  ) my VM is pretty quick, I get up to 2.5L/hr if I run it flat out, and the temp doesn't budge. All up took about 7hrs from firing it up to shutting down. It's airing atm, will cut and bottle it tonight

Have you posted any pictures of your set up Busman? - I'd like to see it

I get 1.2L on my VM 5Star built

Are there any peculiar aspects in your VM that allow you to run twice as fast? Eg take off size etc

Cheers

Laid down 160 litres of TPW. This will sit around for about 9 - 10 weeks while I'm away with work so it should be nice and clear by the time I get back to run it.

Cheers,
