Hey all, got a new job running a cnc plasma, so many things I can make, decided on a bbq to start with. Looked online and decided to design my own, did a pic using paint lol, gave it to a programmer at work.and he converted it onto solidworks. I cut it out last night, it fits together pretty good, need to do some measurement changes here and there. Good fun

Are you learning the program yet googe?
It is always more satisfying when you make it from go-to-woah.

Looks awesome mate well done :handgestures-thumbupleft:

If you're wanting to do more you could purchase yourself a regular hand held plasma cutter for $500-$1000 bucks and just use the cnc at work to make yourself some guide templates. Then you would be set to make as many as you want.

Have a search for diy cnc plasma cutter, a diy wood router is not that much different and both of those are the forerunners to the original homebuilt 3d printers.
The gear is readily available to build a large format cnc machine at home with an interchangeable head router, plastic printer and plasma cutter
All you need is cash lols

I would say i am, although i have not played with any good software.
My experience is with gibbsCAM and raw g-code programming for 4axis mills and 2 axis lathes.
