What OG did you get, seems like a lot of grain
On my 3v system at 85% Id get 1.083 SG with that so potential of 12% if it ferments out dry (which it always does when I dont boil it) I normally get away with 11.5-12kg if im aiming for 1.070 (10.5%)
Normally I aim for 1.050 (8%ish) and use 9-9.5kg of malt :p just because I get better flavour carry over

1.050sg 8%? Do you get yours to finish at below 1.000? If it finished at 1.000 would need 1.062sg to hit 8%. I havnt had one finish below 1.015 fg yet in my extensive 3 mash career.. :D
