yes i added 5kg to each 65lit wash, but did 2 gens. Finishing off spirit run as we speak...big day in the garage. Four 25lit runs yesterday and today.
Return was disappointing ( but i suspected that) but was chasing some flavour, which i achieved, subtle, but still a nice pear aftertaste. Will get 5 x 750ml bottles @ 85% hearts... was just a trial for next years fruit run really. Wasted so much fruit this year cos i was not confident with the process or the results. I assumed it was imperative to use the skins, well i didnt, cos they were all scabby and it still worked ok...all good experience. I have a shitload of peeled apples in the freezer, cant wait.

Got some OJ for nix yesty, chucked 1 bottle in the fridge for the kids and 33 litres in a clean fermenter. Added a good bag full of lemons with a couple of limes, a couple grapefruit and a dozen small mandarins. All peeled except the mandis. Added some green lemon tree shoots and a few hundred grams of whole rye, 2 vitamin tabs and a tablespoon of DAP. Threw in some brown sungar for a SG of 1080 ish, will add rehydrated ec1113 in the morning.
Thinking about running orange/lemon/lime dried peel in Gin basket when I run it.

Put down a 25l sugar head whiskey wash.

1kg cracked corn
1 tin of coopers liquid wheat and barley malt extract
4kg white sugar
A good sprinkle of lowans ( about half a cup )

See how it goes

Also locked down a 150l rum wash

10l molasses
18kg white sugar
Little sprinkle of Epsom salts
Poured boiling water on yeast bed from last ferment

Bought a fish tank heater today so thought I'd give it a go without tonnes of vitamin b or fertiliser or tomato paste

Fishleg what is your total volume. Half cup yeast sounds like a lot i doubt i put 1/4 cup in 200l mash, and i dont rehydrate (for sugarheads)..
