What to buy today....

Postby thedapperbenz » Mon Jul 02, 2018 10:14 am

Not the thread you'd expect on a distillers forum! but hey.. I don't have my setup complete yet so I'm still buying a bottle or two a week.
My staple for the past 15 years is JD, it just feels like home. So with that in mind, which of Dan's deals would you go for if your still busted and the shelf with all of your spirits collapsed tomorrow?

JD - Old fav.. can't go wrong
Hogs 3 - never tried it
Rollins - never tried it
Makers - another fav
Baron Samedi - I like switching things up with a rum every now and then. Haven't tried this one yet. Looks good at 80 proof!

JD tops that list for me
Hogs 3 if on a budget - way better than beam (you really have to spend to get a nice beam), but not quite as good as JD, more or less on par with Mark, but different taste
No idea on Rollins

Had a JD n cola bottle the other night while out, I Don't think it would have made my cuts, stupid hobby ruining commercial booze for me :crying-blue:

Yeah I went with JD... creature of habit I guess

It’s been a few bottles of other stuff in between.. but damn JD tastes a lot like ripe/overripe bananas!
