Cake vodka

Postby P1ratepat » Fri Nov 23, 2018 1:32 pm

Firstly hey all! It’s been a while since I have been here, and I am sure there are a bunch of new faces around here, so hey all. Now the reason for my post.
I was watching some videos on Facebook, and a cocktail video came up, it used “cake vodka” as a base drink, I am intrigued on what cake vodka tastes like, how it’s made, and anything else anyone knows about this mysterious drink.

Thank you.

Searching around the net, it seems that cake vodka is strained vodka macerated in cake, there’s a whole range of “dessert vodkas” including double choc doughnut, froot loops and more, could be an interesting experiment. Will post back with results.

The doughnut flavour sounds interesting, but the image that comes to mind resembles something that i might find in my 9 month olds nappy :laughing-rolling:

Coles have a cheese burger sauce very similar to that used in the maccas burgers, if you want to go all out that is! :laughing-rolling:
I did a musc sticks vodka which was ok, but very sweet.

:laughing-rolling: these replies are everything, I’m pretty sure big companies run the macerated vodka through again to clear it, clear vodka seems to be the norm. I’ve heard about the bacon vodka but I don’t know if I could come at it. Let us know how your double bacon cheeseburger vodka goes. :laughing-rolling:
