Distilleries are interesting to visit. Pay the $20 - $40 for the tour that includes tasting but you may not want to pay the $300 - $500 for a bottle of whisky. I enjoyed Sullivans Cove https://sullivanscove.com/ and Nants https://nant.com.au/ A larger one with a nice restaurant Hellyers Road https://hellyersroaddistillery.com.au/ Did a few others but they either just had a basic copper pot still or you couldn't see anything it was just a sales centre.

The main one in Hobart is of course the Lark tour. Sullivan's Cove is interesting, but it's basically just a bit warehouse full of barrels and a giant copper pot still.

There are lots of small scale distilleries on Tasmania. Some you can visit if you ring up in advance as they are not open all the time due to being family run or on such a small scale. I find visiting the little guys more interesting than the bigger commercial ventures.

7K is supposed to be pretty cool, it's run out of a couple of shipping containers!

Dead Man's Point is on my list. They use a plated column still & carter head (from an online shop that I ShoulDn't mention).

Nonesuch are about to launch their first whisky on Australia Day.

Spring Bay on the east coast is supposed to be pretty cool.

A couple of questions.

Why do the sites all have age verification in this day and age :)) :)) :)) :)) :))

I saw a little distillery place in Deloraine (Doing gin I think) anyone know anything about them or their product?

I actually just watched a Belgrove Distillery tour on youtube last night. The whole place is a bit how-ya-goin compared to what i've seen of all the other Tasmanian distilleries.
