Tassie distilleries

Postby nuddy » Sun Apr 14, 2019 12:23 pm

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on distilleries to visit down in Tassie. Will be heading down there late June early Julyish for around a week. I know there are a few distillers on here that own/work at places down there. Would love to stop in have a chat and try some deliciousness.

Going to be sticking to eastern side of the Island, Hobart to Launceston.

Any one got any standouts they would recommend?

While I was down there about a month ago I did both Lark and Sullivans Cove. I found both very good but the Lark one was more 'hands on'. To be fair the one at SC wasn't an official tour as a friend of my wife knew the distiller working that day and he gave us a free tour. Also if you have the time head out to Bruny Island and go the the whisky hut there.
