Still no guesses as what it is :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: well it took 2 house bricks to get immersed in the bucket of citric acid :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

Tomorrow may hold more of a clue once the outer jacket goes on :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

Started with 2 off 250mm disks cut from a 250 litre Beasley copper hot water tank, now after belling the disks got the diameter down to 210 mm and the centre section is 700mm long with about 20mm overlap. Everything hard soldered with 2% silver solder and tomorrow some 1/2" copper tube with a slit in the tube to fit over the join then once the outer jacket is made it will be all soft soldered, on the first join had one small leak and with second one sealing the unit there is another small leak which I'll find tomorrow when I take it out of the citric acid bath.

Now with everything designed it is always better to start from the bottom up so this creation is the base of the whole project

Now this was supposed to be a wordless thread but it is still out there as to what this project is ( and Stig keep your trap shut mate :laughing-rolling: ) Then we can change the thread name to suit. :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

Cheers Bryan
