going to be 38 here tommorrow which is very bloody hot for here, streets were empty when it got to 32 the other week. yeah ultra high fire danger and they've had health warmings about keeping up fluids staying in doors :)) ha its going to be 46 back home wouldn't be any warning as that would be pretty normal for this time of the yr so yeah all relative hey

I screwed a zincalume skillion roof on a factory once when it was 53 in the shade that was fairly fucking warm and the turkey with me though it would be smart to ware boxers poor bastard was crippled the next day and walked like he'd spent 30 yrs in the saddle for the next week

My weather station is telling me its 46.3 outside and I believe it :o

Been a fire not too far away today, not cool, they got it under control quickly thank god :pray:

According to the weather service it`s the hottest day on record for Hobart...from memory i think they said it was 40.8 degrees at 2.50pm.

It`s hot, but it`s not like it used to get in Mt. Isa when I lived there.

A couple of real nasty bush fires burning around here too, with this wind I don`t think they will control them for a long time :sad:

yeah...i`ve got family and friends who are copping it right now according to the fire service web site, but i cant contact them, no power there and the phones including cell phones aren`t working. all i can do is sit here and wait. :handgestures-thumbdown: :sad:

no, they`re right in the middle of it. apparently the cops and the firies have told everyone there to head to the local beaches...it`s their only hope of surviving....and the wind is picking up again.
