So soon after Debbie we are about to be hit in a major way with Cyclone Cook.
This one will be nasty for many a lot of towns already being evacuated - possibly the worst in 50+ years

Ouch!

Good luck teddy, tell everyone it's more about the days after than the cyclone itself

The one hot day we had in SA this week in a shed my iPhone sitting on a bench in the shade went into shutdown mode from the heat, had to put it in the fridge :laughing-rolling:

Now it's not going to get over 25 for the next week, shit weather for the ashes test in Adelaide :handgestures-thumbdown:

43.6 on top of the black plastic under the reinforcing steel that we were tying all day today. Love being a concreter in summer, upside is when we pour we start at 5 so I'm home by 1:30 with beer in hand at 1:32.

Black cell on right went through 20mins ago. Hail like golf balls we were on the edge at our place luckily no damage was dark as dusk at 2pm. Was crazy uptown with cars looking for shelter. Made it home with about 5mins to spare. Another cell about 20mins away. Stay safe all..

Been watching those cells on the radar today. Too far south to worry us but we are in the warning zone so been keeping an eye out. Stay safe.
Cheers,
Dave.

Yea it hit 30 in my shed on sunday and the day before put down another apple cider, I put the yeast in @25 degrees and the ferment was 27 :scared-eek: stayed at that temp for 2 days and the airlock was going full bonkers. Went up last night and still bubbling away at 21 C yet tonight down to 20C and it stopped bubbling. Maybe that warm spell fermented it out already but got the 100 watt light bulb going to get it back to 25C. I'll check the sg on the weekend and as I always leave it a week to clear it may have a bit longer to clear this time.

Having a go at Cider myself, first go but because we have 40*+ outside ( :handgestures-thumbupleft: good for business) I have it in the hallway cupboard ... House is Air-conditioned and is stable at around 24*C. Mine is also finished before the week was out (stopped bubbling Tuesday, almost... bubbles were insignificant), so I'm leaving it to sit until next weekend... just to be sure.
Apparently I need to Rack-it-off and leave it some more...
Bryan - do you use Camden tablets to stop it from oxidising?

EDIT:- please PM you answer, Bryan. Don't want to hijack this thread...

Yes that hail had some good size to it yesterday, a lot of trees down along the rd i live on, the hail was vertical at one point through it was going to shatter all the windows along the side of the place.

There is a news story of a lady caught in it car windows all went she layed over her baby to cover it and she got hammered big time, she has some massive welts all over her hack and head...

Yea just read that. If it did that to her good thing she huddles over her baby, would have done it some serious damage..
