haha, only kidding spud, my last rum batch actually was too oaky, so I have diluted it down with some mollasses rum, which was run at 95 %, it definetely taken the oaky taste away. The old boy said it is definetly oaky, so i think the jd chips shouldnt stay in for too long at all.

I still have the show on the Hard drive, next time you are over here you can watch it. I sold that 1 meter one I had, would my bigger one fit under your house? I have heaps of vodka and now whiskey, nearly out of rum though. Once I do a couple of rums I can put it in the shed for awhile.

JD really char the shit out of their barrels, that is one thing I saw :)
