I'm into the rum and coke too.. ran it through my pot a couple months ago and had it on american oak dominoes since. It needs a bit more time on oak though for the early tails i added to mellow a bit.

When i do my cuts i generally classify one jar 200ish ml as changing two jars 200ish mls i class as interesting one manky then the rest as disgusting. I keep the changing and the interesting and ditch all others.
On the pot still i could pretty much gaurentee my abv as 75% after blending off the still. Watered back and aged at 65%. Was amazing how it was always within 2%.
Off the bubbler its at 93% at ambient next day.after blending.
Flavour is every bit as rich but just without the manky/off tastes i got with the pot.
If this freakin rain stops tomorrow will be my first all grain bourbon run should be interesting... :D

Nothing but sunshine down here in vic! :happy-sunny:
We could do with a drop though... been a long dry summer.
Cheers for the info... always good to hear how others do there's.
I'm looking forward to finishing my bubbler in coming weeks and compare some rum from it to rum through my pot.
The all grain bourbon should be good!

The Balvinie Double wood 12yr old... one of my favourites...

Had some of my AG Barley Rye earlier, nowhere near as good as the Balvinie, but I'm working on it (not that they are the same in anyway!).

Both neat with a teaspoon of H2O at room temp. love, NOT like!
