Yep a fibrous sort of pudding. You can only squeeze so much before it just clogs up :crying-blue: . It was worth the effort though. Already tastes good just sitting in cuts jars. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I think cherry is the easiest with a cracker result. Have been using woolies frozen cherries.

Hey db..ran it through bubbler, 4 plates, but pushed it a little harder. Ran it at 3L per hr. To be honest even the tails taste bloody good. I stopped collecting at around 88% abv.

MysteryWhisky
I have 35L of ‘leftovers whisky’ wash bubbling away in the fermenter. As an all grain beer brewer I find I accumulate heaps of little bits of leftover specialty grain. My usual practice is to make a mystery beer of all the leftover grains and hops. This year I thought I would make a mystery whisky wash instead. My recipe is loosely based on Mac’s Macwhisky, though instead of using a tin of Caramalt LME I have mashed the leftovers (caramalt, crystal, cara-pils and munich) with a kilo of pilsner malt and a kilo of wheat malt. 3Kg sugar and some bakers yeast.
Fermenting on the grain. When cleared I will run this through my newly completed 4” 4 plate glasser.
Bit of a shame that it’ll be years before I know if it’s any good. :teasing-tease:
