How about josh Lalor's figures of 4 for 6 off three overs then goes for 23 in his last to turn man of the match bowling figures into a loss and a game he won't want to remember.

I missed last nights game due to a concert but glad I caught this one after I gave up on watching Lleyton Hewitt when he stopped serving well.

You ready for it Mac?

Forecast is for a bit of rain, but the rain radar looks okay for now, I'd still bowl first as the pitch will have a bit of life after a few days rain and batting second is better with Duckworth Lewis.

The pink sixes have had a better lead up, an extra day, no travel time.

I can't understand how this game is not being played as a home final for the team finishing higher up the ladder.

I hope the Scorchers win in a tight one with 200 plus scored.

Apparently they couldn't guarantee all grounds being available for this final because of the World Cup so went with a neutral venue. Pity no where near the same possible crowd as they have been getting at games all year so it won't have the same atmosphere.

I am normally a Thunder man but with the number of members on here from way out west I will have to go for the other Sydney team. Go Sixers!

Not looking good for the Sixers. Scorchers bowlers are very tight and keep hitting the stumps.

Hoggy is as good now as he was in his prime and the fast bowlers have not given many runs away either.

Can't even hope for a washout because Scorchers would still win.

Great finish, well done Scorchers and great to see Brett Lee finish up with some good deliveries. The hat trick to go to the super over would have been a fairy tale but not to be.

Saw news footage before the game of the players arriving. Doug Bollinger was carrying only an esky and Brett Lee only had an iPod and speaker, looked like they were going to a BBQ rather than a game. After Doug was out of position and therefore responsible for the no ball that turned the momentum at the end, he is probably not invited to the party anymore.

Hope the result was the tonic that Mrs Mac's dad needed.
