My 16month sleeps until 10am every morning, gives me enough time to do stripping runs before she wakes up.

Goes out to the shed to set up so all i have to do at 5am is turn water and still on,
Normal routine fill my bucket with 7ltr 5 times gives me my 35ltrs, bucket 3 the fucking handle bracket decides to say fuck you and explodes
Vegemite smelling brown molasses wash everywhere, could not spread it further if i tried.
fuck you Kmart and your $2 buckets :violence-smack:

Should have gone for the 99 cent bunnings buckets, mine are still going strong (but I don't trust the handles)

I'd say I lost 20% - ABV went down from 94% to about ~80% - hopefully a significant proportion of that was "bad stuff" - I thank my lucky stars we are in the depths of winter and I don't heat the house (much).

It was a silly mistake caused by being diverted from the task of capping the jars and my usual, and probably one day, fatal, lack of observation. Sigh...

There is much more behind why this happened but I doubt many would have much interest or sympathy for it...

Long night last night. 2am finish.
Had 80 liters cfw on and it was taking forever to heat up. Yep powers on to both 2400 elements.
Come almost lunch I'm wtf is going on? Checked and found I had one element plugged into the wrong socket in my control box so no juice.
Did the cfw then had 130 or so liters of rum wash to go. Had boiler full and half full in my thumper as well. Gave up at 2 am and 28 500 ml jars later. Plenty of rum for blow ins now.
Moral is to check my connections a little more closely next time.

Haven’t made any booze for a couple of months (winter) and am running dangerously low on cfw. So I mixed up a 50l wash and when I was cleaning up I realised I had chucked in 4kg of homebrand salt instead of sugar.
What a fucking dickhead.
They are a similar looking bag but they are plastic not paper. I tan deer and sheep skins so have a lot of salt in the same cupboard as the distilling stuff.
Had a tantrum, tipped it out on the grass. Pretty sure the grass is going to be rooted too.
