I was lucky with mine, the manufacturer extended the expiry dates by 6 or 12 months, and worked out about $30 a pack, so I got one of each (Am Whisky, Malt, Fruit, Grain) all for $120!
The thing you've got to remember is you're not using big spoonfuls like you would with baker's yeast. One 5gram teaspoon is enough for a 30-60L wash :handgestures-thumbupleft: I use starters too, so with a simple stir plate, you can get half a teaspoon ready for hundreds of litres of wash ;-) Even at that full price, without a starter, you're looking at 88cents per wash (teaspoon).
