It had a ding in the back and was warped a bit so the pin holes made my decision

You have 3 tee's? If so finish it and fire it up. Can always add another down the track :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I understand the frustrations with tigging thin stainless. A few of my sightglass tees have a very slight warp on the 4" ferrule closest to where the 3" ferrule juts out. Only out of plumb by 0.5mm but where they are located it opens up a 1mm gap at worst between 2 sight glass tees when stacked. Have had to carefully organise the sight glass tee stack to minimise any gap and used the thickest seals I have.

I recon the pulse will only work in the AC setting.

You can get the bow out with heat if your patient enough.

I'm with you mate a thick bit of plate is much easier. I found the transition to tig a bit of a pain. I'm used to laying on a nice big fillet with the mig or arc then going to squinting to try see this little tiny weld that looks like it will break if you sneeze on it :laughing-rolling: I found the smaller the better with stainless, zero gap and no filler if I can get away with it but the shit will still pull.

Was the pin hole you were chasing at the end of your weld? I found the best way to stop that pin hole right at the end was too turn up the post flow on your gas and sort of lift the torch up a bit to flare the arc just before the arc stops. Make sence?

Good luck with it mate and hope it doesn't give ya too much greef.

Yeah I'll sort it pulse works in dc helps minimise the heat going in but takes a bit mucking about with settings

All my other modules I ground the weld down and polished it but was done with a stick welder so now I have just fused the ferrules on not going to bother with grinding it might b an eye saw seeing the weld time will tell

So not happy with three of my modules they are two to three mm out of level due to warping thinking about cutting half way around the ferrule with a two mm disc tap it down and reweld any other suggestions
