Current copper prices. SE melbourne.

Local plumbteck want 360 a length for 4 inch. Tradelink want 540. At around 60 bucks a metre it seems reasonable. Has anyone got any current prices? Anyone interested in going halves in a lenght at around 60 a metre.

Yeah. Its all standard type b for plumbing. Noone much carries anything else as stock unless you are at a specialist boilermakers or hvac type place.

The scrappy in Bayswater had plenty of 4" in stock. Maybe even a full length in the rack up the back.
It's my go to place as they usually have a couple of bins of off cuts too.

60 bucks sounds about right. I've never seen them for much less than that.

Picked up some 50mm copper pipe from recycal in Bayswater. $12 a kilo. They had a fair bit of pipe there in all sizes.

I work for a fairly sizable plumbing company in Melbourne...so i can check what our price on 100mm type B is if you like, i assume it will be a fair bit cheaper, also Reece Hvac stocks higher grade copper if you want it. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Anybody got an idea where to get cheap copper fittings around Melbourne? Like reducers, elbows etc. Reece and Tradelink are too expensive IMO. I did find an online store, but would prefer somewhere I could pick up.

Look for a "plumber's co-op" there are a few in Vic.

They are usually the cheapest you will find.
