Feints

Postby Stevejb » Sat May 12, 2018 6:46 pm

What do you all do with your feints? I have been chucking them into the next distillation but they are growing fast.

I have been doing sugar washes and each time I distil them, with my added feints I get even more feints.

I could save them and do a feints only run, but then what do i do with the heads and tails? Recycle them forever, or throw them?

When I was making neutral I would keep them until I had enough to do an all feints run. The feints from this run were discarded, heads went to window cleaner around the house or into the washer bottle of the car( watered down of coarse ). The tails went down the drain.
I found that if i kept adding them to the next run they just kept stacking up and every run had more than the last.

Yep all faints runs are good for neutrals but definitely throw faints of faints. I put my faints in with next run but I always throw the first 600ml of heads plus fores to stop them stacking, seems to work for me.

Thanks for the replies. An all feints run it is then with discarding the heads and tails.

Plumby that's a good tip for the car washer bottle. How much do you dilute the heads for this?

200-300ml of 92% in the washer bottle with a bit of dishwashing liquid.
Gets the windscreen nice and clean.

Then fill the washer bottle with clean water.( Should have added this bit in the last post )
