Hi mate, welcome to the forum.
I only found the forum a fortnight ago and have learned a lot from the Newbies Corner and other helpful posts.
Following what I learned here, I've now completed 2 spirit runs, one from the TurboWash kit and the other a Tomato Paste Wash. What a HUGE difference in the final product!
The TPW took only a couple of extra days to ferment, but was a lot easier to clean out of the fermenter and boiler/still.
Even though I ran the TurboWash with 200ml cuts and went slowly, there is still a chemical taste, even in the centre of the hearts cuts.
The TPW fermented out to a slightly lower alcohol percentage in the wash, but you actually end up with more hearts as the heads and tails seem to be more condensed. It's worth trying, if you are intending to make neutral spirit.
If you can't find some specific info that you need in the Newbies Corner, just post a question and some of the locals will soon be along to help out.
Greg.
