Electric Parrot

Postby PeeGee » Wed Nov 28, 2018 9:09 pm

I have an electric parrot that I purchased from an Australian supplier.
For the most part I am absolutely delighted to have a method of knowing the ABV of the product being distilled in real time.
What are other people's experience using this parrot?

j0sh2008,
You seem to have a very similar still to the one I have.
Just added a packed section and a new 95L plus double barrel.
About to a vinegar run and use it in the next few days.
I am glad you are really happy with the parrot.
Read somewhere where it may be slightly inaccurate but I have had no issues at all with accuracy.
Had any ER-1 errors?

Yeah i have never had any problems with my packed section on also. I never had any problems with it. But the guy Tim who makes them is pretty helpful, I have been in contact with him quite a lot and sure he would help out if there was any problems with it.

I have actually take off my SS parrot as i saw a number of people on here did. I get the same results with E parrot, so im pretty happy. I have also put my E parrot into my control box that im building. Once i get around to finishing off the wiring :angry-banghead:

I just bought one on line. Have not put it to use yet but it only displays temperature in C or F. I guess it will display %abv or Proof once it gets hot? Can anyone advise? His website is down or gone.
