Led light plug type

Postby bluc » Tue Aug 27, 2019 3:40 pm

Was given heap of led lights

This is pic of the plug

But cant work out what the plug is. I tried a standard iec c5 "cloverleaf" lead but its to big. As far as i know they are a cabinet light and can be daisy chained together theres same plug either end.
Here is a pic of only marking on the light

Any ideas or help greatly appreciated thanks..

same as the plugs used for the old netbooks cable that went from wall to charger block which had it's own plug to go into the netbook

Surely these things wouldn't plug direct to 240, wouldn't they need some sort of transformer or something ?

Smaller than that but looks identical..
Maybe stig is on the money is there a 12v smaller version of the same plug?

Stig i have others similar that plug straight to 240v but different plug due to being waterproof..

I've seen heaps of laptop plugs that look like that but they come out the other end of a brick that's plugged into 240

Better shot of plug you can see lip which prevents a atandard cloverleaf plug.

I brought some 240 v led's and they went straight into a fluro batten , i had to rewire it to remove the starter. So in mine there is no transformer thst i see.
I try and get a better look at it again tomorrow. They were dear $15 clear out sale.

google "t5 t8 3 pin plug"
cant tell you the name of em, only found them a couple of weeks ago myself, may be worth a trip into heymans to find out
The led tubes with those are set up to daisy chain easily with flexible or even solid connectors - very cheap lighting via the auction sites

Plug is called an interlink connector, problem is there's a couple of different types but a wholesaler should be able to source for you.

The driver is inside the unit BTW.
