Hello I am new to the reflux still & got myself a turbo 500, during the distillation there was a disruption in the water supply & the outlet water temp went up to 97 degrees is this still ok to drink or did I produce proponol therefor should not touch it. Thanks
Put it back in the still & fill with water then redo, I will keep an eye out for leaks but it was not on the high temp long but I did notice it was coming out quite fast at the spirit outlet compared to what it was at the lower temp. Thanks for the info
Thanks, as a newbie 2 more questions if you don't mind me asking, if I double distill do I need to take off the first 59 mls again & as it has already been filtered will it need to go through that again. Thanks in advance
Always take cuts and if you cut correctly and hard you shouldn't need to filter . And just for giggles, turn your column upside down and fill it with water just to see if it leaks. You might get a shock.

:handgestures-thumbdown: if a still leaks under gravity then it’ll leak vapour when running. I don’t know where you got this information from Rock but I’m calling as another hbs bullshit lie.
Rubish maybe. Thier cleaning video shows to tape the top up before inverting and pouring in the cleaning fluid. I had one ,still got it , it leaks as described. Had no issue's using it. Although I never ran it hot.
