I wonder if the ability to make alchoholic beverage will guarantee us a place at the new lords of the new world order table after the “virus’s “ had lowered us all to the lowest common denominator hahahaha

Probably only if you learn to make it moonshiners style without sugar. Fruit and spices will be easier to get than the white powdered gold

Uh huh. Went to the local Woolies for groceries.

No sugar
No tomato paste
No yeast

Only Citric acid. Might give the still a Citric bath and put it away until this madness is over.

Just make rum instead...
All you need is some molasses and water! Provided you've got some yeast :laughing-rolling:

I know what you mean about yeast at the store being scarce. I work at a Homebrew Store and we have lots of people coming by for any type of yeast so they can make bread. We could be using our surplus dregs of yeast to provide bread makers yeast for their bread. I know we use our excess yeast as nutrient but, if we save a little back and share with a bread makers in need we could barter for a loaf or two. Since we don't use hops in our beers that would be preferred, unless you like hopped yeast bread.... Yummy . A friend of mine used beer yeast (hopped) to make bread. It was GREAT.
Any way, we could be contributing to people in need and maybe get a freebie in return.

I don't know how things are in your area but, things have been tough in some areas around here (USA). Just started seeing bread on the shelves in the city, If you are early.

Hope things are safe for everyone.

Yeah wow,
Has not got that bad near me, especially now the panic buyers have settled down.
Actually seeing the shops having more stock on their shelves lately, even toilet paper.
