It will be close enough to the reject shops they are everywhere.
The German supermarket has 3 x 1 litre jars on special this week for $5:00 which as cheap as I have seen. They might be an option for you mate.

Only 5 more sleeps and the voltage controllers should be available, not that I am counting down

Yeah mate not long now. Hopefully ready in a few days. Haven’t done a stripping run yet I was waiting on a seal. But it arrived yesterday so I will do a vinegar over the weekend and a sacrificial rum early next week. Also brewing a rye whisky wash tomorrow. Busy few days ahead. Have you fired up your still yet?

Hey Wellsy,

Power controllers are back in stock!!! Just ordered mine. Get on it!

Thanks for the heads up on the voltage controller.

Once up to speed my stripping run took me 2.5 hours mate. Still not sure if I ran to fast or slow but was a great experience. Not sure what happened in the last litre of the nine I collected as the spirit was slightly cloudy.

G'day Bj- In Ascot Vale - running a 35l with 2" pot from 5 star looks like I'll be learning a lot from you and Wellsy as I'm about a month behind the wash and strip learning. Hows everything looking ?

Hello again Bjohnman
Did a stripping run yesterday with both elements running.
Stripped my 40 litres in about an hour and 15 minutes and got 10 litres.

Hello Druwade
I have only done 2 stripping runs mate so am hardly an expert but am happy to answer any questions.
I think Bjohnman has done a couple more than me.
It could just be the blind leading the blind

That’s great! Did you have both elements going the whole time?

Hi Druwade, thanks, yeah we are stIll very new to this. But feel free to ask any questions if you need to. I will do my best to help out. But plenty of other distillers in here with lots of experience. I have been doing lots of research though over the past few months. I have also been working in the bars for 14 years so have a half decent knowledge on spirits. Can’t wait to get fully into making some decent spirits (hopefully)

Which website did you get the power controllers from? Kegland show out of stock still? or did they sell out that quick

Yeah it looks like they sold out already. That was fast. Maybe check if 5 Star distilling are getting any in stock.

We have a few coming from KL but in about 6 weeks we will have our own controllers and we shouldn’t be having these stock issues
