G'day!
I'm really keen to distill. I done some internet researching earlier in the year and saw a simple and easy to use still. I then scored a heap of birthday vouches for a home brew shop. Was getting excited and time was near to order what i thought was better than sliced bread.....the one and only T500...that's right!
But due to the start of corona virus i couldn't make time to get to the HBS. So in the mean time i was still researching the net and found this wonderful forum!
THANK GUYS! Your forum saved me from securing my misfortune of the T500.
I have since used my vouches for a brewzilla unit to perfect my allgrain brewing. I also scored 2 x 50l stainless steel kegs and will eventually make a modular copper pot still to make scotch whisky.
Thank you Aussiedistiller !

Welcome Bangers.

Your all grain experience will be bonus when it comes time to make whisky.

There's plenty of pics in the pot still section to inspire your pot build.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.

Welcome Bangers
What you want to produce will determine the best still type.
Time for research and choices, let the games commence :laughing-rolling:

Welcome Bangers

I was in the same boat, Stage 4 restrictions stopped me getting to the HBS to buy the T500 on impulse. I had already purchased a turbo wash kit, which will now be used as a sacrificial run when i get around to ordering my 2" Boka!

So much great information on here, enjoy the journey :-B

Thats so funny. Good things come from bad things. Hopefully we don't make too many more mistakes although thats what learning is.
Good luck.

Welcome, being a newbie here, I read in a book that it will take 10 years to master the art, so plenty of time and room in order to learn by mistake (usually good learning) - looking forward to sharing some of them, haha
