HNY to everyone.
I'm another that has been lurking for a while and now decided to get more involved. :-B
I was after some sort of project during Victoria's lockdowns and looked to distilling as something new.
I love it. It has taught me so much, and not just about spirits.
I have learnt how to weld stainless steel using stick, MIG and TIG.
Learned how to silver solder and braze copper.
My electronics has been refreshed.
I have revisited what I grow in my garden and if it's usable to ferment or flavour. If not, it goes :D
I mainly run TPW's or Kale washes to make gin or liqueurs.
I am on my second attempt at rum. First attempt I made a stupid mistake at 4th gen so have started again. All part of the learning experience.
While I'm typing this I'm cleaning up a couple of TPW stripping runs coming off in a steady stream at 95-96% after doing a rum generation stripping run this morning. Note to self. Do rum runs last.
8-} So much more to learn. 8-}
