I found these guys about a year ago & posted on Artisan before i found this hangout :D . They supply bulk molasses as well as in 25 kg pails and 250 kg drums http://www.brandonmolasses.com.au/drum.html

Just checked - their web site is still going - prices may have moved....

In April last year they were charging
pails - $31 / 25kg
drums - $155 / 250kg

I rang them today, minium order is 32x 20kg buckets! :shock: , dont have anywhere near that amount of brownie points let alone $ :))

Honestly cant remember law, kind of went blank when he said the minium order :)) . Give em a buzz if ya want. I rang a few places today, best i found was flemington stock feed joint, 20l for $26, think thats a prettty good price.

I feel sorry for you poor buggers,$40/200l or 300kg,whatever way you want to look at it :D unsulphured and 1st run,which means 60-70% sugar,anyone in NQ want some?

Shit that's cheap for any molasses let alone top grade 1st run.
I'm not in NQ but not too far away & very keen to work something out if possible.

I pay $26 too at my local feed store for 20L / 25KG

Thou 3kg of sugar at woolies is $2.89

Yeah i did a ring around yesterday law, cheapest i found was $26 for 25 kg, dearer than woolies!.

Why don't you folks do what I did. I simply rang Bundaberg Sugar and they gave me the telephone number for their representative in the area where I live. He gave me four outlets to ring and the first sold to the public. Job done!!

Yes, it is food grade molasses. It's all spelled out it the original post, however, I don't' mind repeating, it's available from (or rather, this is where I got mine) Southern Cross Supplies and it's $20.10 cents for a 14 kg pail. I'm guessing that it's a normal 10 litre pail but the specific gravity of the molasses is running at about 1.4 kilos to the litre.

I'm not fully understanding the second paragraph in your post, can you please elaborate.
