had the same issue with an older commy..VR...didn't take long to work it out if you apply a bit of thinking....
in this case turned out to be the shift leaver position sensor switch believing it was still in drive...prevents start up, naturally.
What is the exact issue, make model got a few mates right into diags/mechanics for cars...
