Sight glass lenses

Postby MacStill » Tue Jan 22, 2013 9:18 am

I'm just about to do a huge order of the borosilicate sight glass lenses in 2, 3 & 4 inch to fit tri clamp applications, if there's interest for other sizes I can include small quantities in my order.

This is not a group buy, I'm ordering for stock, but willing to get a few in custom sizes at the same time for you.

Cheers.

I just went to check my stock levels and am completely out of the 3" :handgestures-thumbdown:

I do have about 25 x 2" and also about 30 x 4" if people want them.

2" are $5 each

4" are $7 each

First in gets em.

Cheers.

Don't know if you want numbers, not being a group buy...

But I'd be after about 10x 3" sight glasses,
And maybe 3x 4" glasses

Will hopefully add them to the element order for shipping :D

No you need to read the original post, I'm ordering a few hundred of each in popular sizes.

I was asking if people wanted "different" sizes and stated I could include them in my order.

I also posted that I have a few 4" & 2" in stock ;-)

I'm guessing there'll be uppercuts in order for a certain glass supplier Mac? ~x(

Would someone mind telling me the measurements of the 3 and 4 inch glasses please?. Radius, thickness ect. Thanks.

Cheers

Radius is pretty easy googie-googe... 3" has a 1.5" radius, 4" has a 2" radius. Just halve the diameter. ;-)

True mate. Once you get the exact diameters, just halve the values for radius. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Googe was asking about the glasses, which are larger than the diameter of pipe for which they are used. I can't measure them at the moment, sorry Googe. If no one gets to it first, I'll measure them tonight.

If a 3" sight glass only had a diameter of 3", it would only be applying a seal along the 1.6mm odd pipe thickness...however they cover from the pipe out to the edge of the ferrule :handgestures-thumbupleft:

edit: I see you identified this issue :p I'll measure some later tonight and post.
