I am trying the Vodka (neutral) made from the 2 stripping runs Using the pot head I got from you and a spirit run through the T500.
Its the best I have ever produced and its only 5 days old. :D

Well, amongst some commercial rums for comparison, I am drinking my very first rum that has only been ageing for 2 weeks. I've found two of the 6 ageing bottles that are pretty tasty, so I'm having some samples of those. The first one is the best and according to my notes is a mixture of heads and some tails with oak and nothing else. It's friggin delicious, though a bit too smooth. It actually tastes like it's spiced but there is only oak in the bottle!

I'm really looking forward to all of this rum that I'm gonna have ageing!

Its a proud feeling of accomplishment isnt it, knowing you can do better than the store bought crap.

Bloody oath! It's funny, mine is still slightly raw and the smell is a tad bit off, but I'm still drinking it over the commercial stuff. Each mouthful I'm like "hmm, if I add some toasted oak like McStill said it should be spot on." or "I could probably drop some raisins in there and some more heads to rough it up a bit for that dirty taste that I like.."

But then I remember the golden rule - don't blend/make recipes after drinking!

HAHA, good idea! Problem is, this bottle that I have been sampling has been getting better and better the more I try it. So chances are I'll see my notes in the morning, duplicate it and come out with ass rum instead!

HAHAHAHA, you guys are gold. My misus is asleep on the couch and I keep waking her going "you HAVE to try this one" and just getting death stares... But you guys are egging me on to get into it. Awesome.

Panadol for the heads consumption... Doh. Is it really that bad? I haven't experienced it yet, this is my first time. You could call me a heads virgin. Oh wait, that sounds wrong.

Definitely not hoping in the car! But I will head to the brew room (laundry) for a blending mission. Wish me luck.
