Want to recycle your yeast??

Postby SBB » Wed Jun 05, 2013 10:11 pm

This simple method seems to get the thumbs up from the brewing community on at least one forum. Personally I couldnt be f#@&ed, yeast is cheap. Having said that some time in the future Im keen to try n capture a wild yeast from the local cane fields for my Rum ferments, If that venture turns out OK, I will then try this method.

Haha. I read the first few posts with the directions and put it into the too hard basket. Bakers yeast is cheap and I am still trying to get my head around the basic process.

Give me some time SBB, and I will be grilling you on your illustrious wild cane field yeast. ;) Sounds like fun

Howdy,

In winter use Lager yeasts they ain't cheap especially for 400lt all up washes ....if you got a simple recycle program one purchase at the start of season will last till summer pops along.

if you want a 2 paragraph method let me know.
