Ukraine alcometers

Postby 7evan » Tue Jul 30, 2013 9:52 pm

For those of you that are after stubby alcometers I can recommend the ones on ebay that come from Europe. I got the 3 pack. Cheap as chips and tried them out tonight in some water, beer and store bought scotch. Accurate. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I bought a five pack of these off the bay and they arrived today. They are surprisingly accurate. I tested it on some store bought liquor and some 94% and they were all pretty bang on for accuracy compared to my lab quality alcometer but a little hard to read.

Should be great in a parrot. I'll make a mini parrot for these and see how it goes with a lower volume parrot

Old thread I know, but I recently bought a 2-pack off eBay and the seller sent me 4 of them as a bonus, with a little hand written thank you note! He also asked me to send back the used postage stamps for a local school project. They seem accurate enough for in-your-cut-jar thereabouts testing. Harder to read of course. Bargain!

Just to point out the obvious - they are REALLY REALLY small.

I saw those and wondered about the 96% bit as its only marked to 80? I suppose if the top is under its 96%?

Fantastic for a pot still parrot :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Same brand sells one marked to 96, but its 13cm vs the 8.6cm of the short one

In the vein of cheapness https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5-10PCS-0-1 ... 1949076616
10x 18.5cm ones for $12.70
