Prototype FSD HERMS

Postby MacStill » Tue Mar 04, 2014 7:25 pm

Arriving early next week is something special I've been working on for the serious all grain brewer who want the absolute best.

mmexport1393922944976.jpg

Inside is a 2400w element that's mounted by our element guard through the bottom, the coil is a whopping 6 meters of 1/2" tube wound to fit inside the housing.

I dont know how much they will be yet, I didnt really build them to sell as it's more something I wanted for myself & a couple of mates.

I've got 75kg of heavy peat malt sitting here waiting for this baby :happy-partydance:

wow that looks awsome. Pretty sure you will get nice ramp temps with that much coil, whats the volume of what it holds? guessing 6m of coil will take alot of that out for faster rises :P
