What's cookin in PJ's T500

Postby Popcorn Jack » Tue Oct 23, 2012 12:56 pm

My TPW I used. Did my a double batch and this is my results.
Also tried cuts again.....

21l 38c water
6 kg sugar
1 cup no salt tp
1/4 tsp citrus acid
Pinch Epsom salts
80 gram bakers yeast

Top up yo 25 l

OG 1.098@35c

I finally got this TPW fairly clear and filled the first half of it in the boiler.
I got 3100mls@94% after I took 200mls of fore.
I took 300ml cuts along the way and aired them for a day.
Was frustrated I could only smell a slight difference between the heads and the tails right after distilling, but after the aired and I tasted them.... Fuck me, must of had the biggest smile on my face when I tasted that neutral. :D
What a difference!!
I keep the best which was 1600mls and chucked the rest in the boiler with the second half of wash.

Will post results of this cook later
