Flaked oat

Postby rug » Wed Sep 25, 2024 5:59 pm

Hi
I just stumbled over a very good offer for flaked steamed oat (even ecological)...price so good I just bought a lot thinking of vodka, whisky etc....

But at home I remember...I know only sugar wash :teasing-tease:

So...angel yeast is one option...but not possible to buy at my part of the world.

So which enzymes do I need?

Simple question, hope for a simple answer 8-}

I figured this out last night...our hobby is "endless"...

Alpha amylase....then beta amylase (or malted oat).....then glucoamylase.....

I will, theoretically, make an oat vodka, 100% oat :violin:
