I scorched my last time so I couldn't sour mash but am still going to. Have one on now should finish in a week or so. Then will add backset to second.

BWKO would be BW :handgestures-thumbupleft: Just use more grain instead of sugar. I use 2 lbs of grain per gallon of water.

I ordered 10 x 100g bags of this yeast. I hope to receive it in a month or two.
From your tests, I feel it will be the only yeast I will buy from now on.
Did anybody try it on potatoes. I figure it will work in braking the starch into sugars.
Once I receive the yeast I will try first on barley and corn.
It would be nice to have an Angel Yeast topic under Tried and Proven where proven recipes using this yeast can be posted.

Hi Virge
Are you sure you got the right one? has a yellow square on the left of the front of the silver pack?
After buying the wrong one myself, ive worked out they only come in a 500g pack...

Yes, it is the right stuff, yellow square on the left side and the seller had 50g; 100g and 500g packs. I opted for 100g packs because I can start with 2 washes. Also the shipping was for free for 1 x 100g packs. I contacted the seller and he agreed to send me 9 x 100g packs with free shipping. Normally shipping for 2 x 100 G packs would be 60.00 US $.
Things are difficult to get here in South Africa.

Been thinking about this concept for a while now and my question is... being that there will be some of the yeast bed mixed in with the grain, do you get any off flavours from the yeast using this method?

I'll follow your advice and see how I go. Hope to make a nice wheat vodka out of this. Gonna run it through 4 plates and see what I get

I have a 800mm packed section. Was thinking it may take away alot of the flavour. I wanted to leave a little flavour behind, just a subtle hint of wheat.
