That would be good to see; but you may need to link it thru a 3rd party site due to size restrictions.

I've been using a BIAB bag and squeezing. Here's my method, in case it's useful:

I've been fermenting in 50L batches. When done, I syphon off most of the liquid, then pour the grain bed into a 50L brewpot with a BIAB bag in it. I use a pulley to lift up the bag and let it drain for a few minutes. When the dripping has slowed down, I start turning the bag while holding the top, which adds some squeeze. When I've got all I can out of it, I start using my hands to squeeze some more.

I've been getting back about 40L of wash out of a 50L ferment that contained 10 kg of grain. I'm happy with that amount, since I have a 50L boiler. Interestingly, the boil behaves more like a sugarhead than an all-grain wash. I get essentially no foaming.

Me too martin. Just bought a wringer bucket to try.
Seems my thicker mash works i got
Did cuts kept
7.44l @ 65% burbon 30kg grain
3.219l @65% rye malt/pale malt 15kg grain.
2.66l water to 1kg grain. 50g yeast per 10kg grain. Grind everything fairly fine. Not flour but fine. Flour would prob get better effeciency but would be harder to seperate unless steam distilling or using an agitator..

Does one full brew fit into that bucket Bluc, or do you have todo it in a couple of sections at a time ?

Did you get it shipped from the US bluc?

I couldn't find this if you've covered it already, but what was the grain:liquid ratio of your thicker mash?

I bought this Maurivin yeast at a local Greek wholesaler while waiting for my Angel yeast to turn up. Cost about $47 from memeory. Got home that day and the bloody angel yeast had turned up so I haven't opened this one yet. May be an alternative if you get stuck  Here's the link to the data sheet: https://www.abbiotek.com/perch/resource ... 17-web.pdf
Out of interest, one of the Angel yeast packets looks like it wasn't vacuum sealed properly from the factory - wasn't opened by customes (yes, i've tested it to see if it had a pin pric - squeezing it all around up close to my ear). I sent the attached pic to the seller (ebay) asking for a replacement, they came back to me offering me $3 if I gave them a good rating. yeah, righto. I wrote back saying full refund/replacement or very bad feedback. They posted me a replacement next day! :laughing-rolling: :happy-partydance:

True. I'm going to give it a crack on a sugarhead and see what I get. Standby, might be a while!

Sugarhead will still work. Whole point of angel yeast it converts raw grain, any grain, to ethanol no sugar needed. All grain without complex mashing...

If the yeast works at cold temperatures may be better to wait until winter and not have to keep warm.

Is the 1tsp of DAP for 10kg grain really necessary?
How is the 50g of angel yeast per 10kg of grain is calculated?
If using some malted grain, will the enzymes from the malt add to the enzyme in the yeast?
Will it be right to reduce the yeast quantity in this case?
