What was the outcome here, the final product and how much did you get?

Just doing an all grain wheat exercise using US05. Very interested in what you get as I did a Wild Turkey using angel and it had a metallic taste on the palate. Mind you it was at 70% output, Vodka at 95% might be different.

If by your account this works them I will try it as angel makes things a lot easier. No squeezing grains for instance.

Thanks,.

Not sure about the original poster, but I wouldn't make anything but neutral out of AY myself. I have tried a couple of times and it has a marked impact on the flavour for me. Makes a cracking neutral though, easy and strong with no mashing and once up to 90% it has a clean simple flavour, fantastic for Gin. With grains I've tried wheat and barley, both of which I aged and compared to regular mashing with US05 it tastes rough, not sure I can adequately describe it as it's been a while.
