There are a couple of urns on ebay for sale that are very close to me (2 hills away) . Anyway they'er like $1 each guessing between 20 and 40 ltrs . How useful would these be fore mash tuns ?

Depends if they have concealed elements or not.

Having grain in contact with the element may lead to scorching.

Might be useful for brew in a bag or as a HLT, even as a kettle.

Cheers
