Sacrificial alcohol run

Postby doogie » Sat Mar 13, 2021 10:39 am

Hi Everyone

What's the minimum amount of wash I should run as a sacrificial run for a new home built column? I have about 30 litres of a TPW ready to go but surely I don't need to waste all of it?

Thanks

As long as no chance element is exposed should be OK.

You don't want the situation where as you distil the level in your boiler gets to your elements or they will blow with no liquid around them.

Can fill to above the element with water then put wash on top to make sure if your nervous.

I think he was looking for a litres type answer guys.

Maybe use 10 Litres of it mate, as if you have a t500 as per your list the elements are not exposed and I believe the turbo boiler even has a cut off switch.

I hope that helps
