Yeast bed & worms

Has anyone with a worm farm fed the yeast bed to your worms - did they thrive or just die happy.
I can't imagine they cope with the ethanol too well.
Should it be watered down or just left out to evaporate for a few days first.
We are on septic so maybe I could put down the loo, but not real keen on that ( over time could maybe build up a layer of ethnol vapour in the head space, maybe? ) can't just chuck it down the drain.
Weed killer maybe? :shhh:
Or just let dry up and into wheely bin :naughty:

I have found the native birds don’t seem to want it but the sparrows and pigeons seem to love the left over grains

If you are on a septic I assume you are on some ground so pick a less important bit and see what happens if you tip it on a patch of ground for a week and see what happens

Chickens love it. But apparently it stops them laying so not sure if the owners of the chickens love it  :laughing-rolling:

Depends what the yeast bed is from...
Some times my chooks n ducks like the grain mash i throw out, sometimes not.. it sure dose make the worms come up out of the ground, this they much prefer, i get other bugs too if i leave it too thick..

Dunno on the heath aspect for the worms...

Thanks all
It is just the yeast-bed from TPW so not to much of interest to the birds but I think the worms would enjoy it if I can blow off the ethanol - let it air and dry out a bit maybe.
Might even work to attract/catch/bait fruit-fly - I'll need to give that some more thought. :-B
