Two modular setups one sac run wash

Postby Rumblepants » Sun Dec 05, 2021 4:46 pm

Hi,

Whats the minimum time to run the sacrificial wash through a system to clean it?

I have a 25L sugar wash in 50L boiler.

Can I get away with running a 3 plate setup for a couple of hours and then powering down and swapping to a column only setup to clean that using the same wash?

Cheers

firsrtly did you do a vinegar run to clean out the still then one does a sac run to clean the still before use.

so do those steps and the path forward is what you make it

Yep soaked everything in a mild citric acid solution. Then vinegar run. Now the sac run. Was wondering if I could get away with using one wash to do both setups.

Is that ok?

Cheers

Yep tip alcohol back in boiler once cooler then swap setup and run again.
Keep it in well marked container and clean with it again down the track

Sounds good cheers guys.

I've actually frankensteined it all together and man does it look ugly lol.

Gonna run the sac run like a stripping run hard an fast. Any dramas running it that way?

Cheers
