Seriously, 3/4 over 1/2 is better...

The laminar flow of the water on the sides detract from the cooling performance with a thicker jacket
If you could get the jacket even thinner it would be better - ie 5/8 over 1/2, but you wont find 5/8 readily for sale

Banga81 wrote:Hi everyone,

Im looking at making Gin. I currently have a T500 and have a lot of extra neutral from TPW washes.

I would like use this neutral to make Gin. I was thinking of just buying one of the cheap stills off youtube purely just for Gin. Something like this one in the link https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16508967338 ... Sw4-xggcXm

What are peoples thoughts on this?
Are these stills suitable to make a Gin run from a neutral?
Are the seals a problem. I sore some dude on youtube throw away the seal it came with and use a flour paste instead. Not sure if that would work with this still.

If its not suitable, what would you guys reccomend to make Gin from a neutral? Please keep in mid, im only looking at making a couple of litres at a time.

Cheers

I used to have one of these machines. I can't say anything good about it. Choose something better :)
